Calling all creatives in Bromsgrove

Calling all creatives in Bromsgrove

NWedR, on behalf of Bromsgrove District Council, is calling creatives in Bromsgrove to respond to an exciting grant funded opportunity.  The Recovery through Creative project is funded by a £50,000 GBSLEP grant secured by NWedR and match funded by Bromsgrove District Council.

Individuals, groups, businesses and collaborations in the creative industries sectors are invited to apply for grant funding to deliver activities and projects that will attract residents and visitors to Bromsgrove Town Centre and Local Centres through the provision of new experiences. These could be, but aren’t limited to, outdoor public art events, art exhibitions, local festivals, arts & crafts markets, food markets, community events, street art, and street performances.

Councillor Karen May, Leader of Bromsgrove District Council said,

“This is a great opportunity for local creatives to get their creative juices flowing and to benefit the community with their skills and talents. We are looking for ideas that will encourage people to try new things and get involved in their community.”

Anita Bhalla, Interim Chair, Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP):

“Spring is a great time to get creative and this grant has been designed to bring a buzz into Bromsgrove and get people collaborating in new ways.  Individuals, groups, and businesses are asked to submit an expression of interest to deliver innovative projects in their locality.

“This project demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the creative industries which GBSLEP sees as a catalyst for recovery and delivering inclusive economic  growth across our region.”

Closing date for expressions of interest is Sunday 13 March 2022 and the activities must be delivered by 30 June 2022.

Please read the guidance notes for the expression of interest before completing the expression of interest at www.nwedr.org.uk.  Contact info@nwedr.org.uk for a Word version of the Expression of Interest for you to complete and return.
