Take a step towards turning your business idea into a reality or practice your pitch for your new business.

Enterprising Worcestershire and The University of Worcester are jointly hosting Start-Up QuickPitch 2020, taking place on the 26 of February at The Hive.

Students, start-ups and businesses trading up to 12 months will have up to 5 minutes to pitch their business idea to a small judging panel of local business experts, in front of a supportive entrepreneurial community. The event is designed to encourage those who are new to pitching to hone their personal selling skills, whilst providing a platform to promote and gain exposure for their business concepts.

It is free to enter and the winner’s prize of £250.00 has kindly been provided by the event’s main corporate sponsor, Wynne-Jones IP. Every shortlisted entrepreneur will receive a free years membership to the national business support platform Enterprise Nation. More information can be found on Enterprise Nation's website

Nicholas Bancroft, Enterprise Manager at the University of Worcester, said:

“We are really keen that people from the local business community know that this event is for them and they can apply if they are either pre-start or within their first 12 months of trading.

You might be thinking about freelance work, considering a career change and need some advice and signposting, or would simply like to see what the next great business idea is. Either way, the event will offer invaluable access to entrepreneurs and business leaders and business support agencies who will be happy to help you to figure out your next steps.”
