North Worcestershire districts play an active part in both the Greater Birmingham and the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs). We are uniquely positioned to take advantage of the potential benefits of projects such as Birmingham’s Longbridge regeneration project and Solihull’s proposals to develop UK Central – a unique concentration of strategic economic assets including the NEC, Birmingham Airport and Jaguar Land Rover.
Road - North Worcestershire is located at the heart of the UK's road network. Redditch and Bromsgrove are located just a stone's throw from motorway junctions. Excellent ‘A’ roads enable journey times of around 2 hours to either London or Manchester, enable efficient internal connections and link employment areas to smaller centres.
Rail - Bromsgrove, Kidderminster and Redditch are less than 45 minutes drive to the city of Birmingham and 2 hours and 30 minutes to London by rail.
Air - Birmingham Airport is a 40 minute drive away.
Ease of movement is a fundamental reason for locating into North Worcestershire. However, we are proactively working with our key stakeholders, on the development and delivery of a range of road and rail enhancements that will reduce congestion, improve journey times and improve public transport access.
